Research at Lund Observatory is centred on the study of stars and stellar systems with emphasis on the Milky Way, on laboratory measurements of atomic data, and on the design of next-generation astronomical telescopes.
The Computational Biology & Biological Physics Group at Lund University pursues a very broad spectrum of research activities. In particular, the group builds models of macromolecules and living systems, and investigates biological processes by applying machine learning and statistical techniques.
The High Energy Physics Group is mainly active in phenomenological studies of the strong force, in particular the modeling of multi-particle production in high energy collisions and hadronic physics at lower energies
