Brief minutes of the discussion sessions during the June working group meeting at DESY. * Underlying event and minimum bias Nick Brook and Craig Buttar were put in charge of organizing the work on inventory of multiple interaction models. Also look at the connection between gamma-p and p-p Jon Butterworth and Guenter Grindhammer will contact people doing UE studies on H1 and ZEUS to get them to look at different MI sensitive observables. With other they also went through the published papers and identified several missing HZTOOL routines for results of interest; efforts will be made to provide these routines. Leif Lonnblad and Jon Butterworth will look at streamlining the running of Pythia with double-gaussian matter distribution for gamma-p for different W. This is unlikely to be a real change in PYTHIA, but maybe a the provision of an example of how running in several W bins automatically might be done from a main program. Ariadne and Cascade should be run to give QCD background for forward jet tags. Elzbieta Richter-Was will look into what can be done (at least for Ariadne) by ATLAS people. * Gap survival and rapidity gaps Inventory of gap survival models, Khoze et al, Tel Aviv, Pythia and Jimmy. Different predictions for HERA and LHC. Look at diffraction at gamma-p and Tevatron see what gap survival comes out. Maybe look at energy dependence in gamma-p.
